What Questions Do You Still Have about Library Research?
We’ll spend a few minutes talking about how the librarians can help you with your upcoming research. What questions do you still have about your research? About using the library as a research tool?

How Do I Write a Research Question?

Here’s a tool that will let you create a mindmap with your team, digitally!
Group Work
Get into your research groups an start brainstorming your research topic and questions:
From your general topic, derive at least three possible paths for your research to take (you can also move away from your original topic if that’s what your group decides to do.
Try to write a few specific research questions. Remember to try to link your topic to big data, the health of our democracy, and communication.
Come up with at least 20 keywords you could use to perform a library search related to your topic(s) & questions.
How to Navigate a Scholarly Book
Did you know that you don’t have to read certain books cover to cover? You may find it helpful to skim the table of contents and index sections of your books to get a sense of which sections will be the most helpful (if at all). Let’s look at a few books together!
