April 6 – April 10
Welcome to Week 11!
To begin, I want to say how proud I am of each of your for sticking with it. I know this is a hard time for all of us for a variety of reasons–but you all are showing a lot of perseverance. It takes a lot of strength to manage what you are managing.
For the week of April 6 – April 10, let’s keep things simple in the LC to allow you to prepare for the Exam in Music, due April 12th (see Dr. Pool’s announcement for more information). Also, in response to the thoughts shared in your stress management assignment, I’d like this week to feel a little more streamlined for everyone. Furthermore, I hope this gives you a chance to make a little progress on your Research Table, due April 24th.

Discussion Boards in Seminar
There was some confusion about the discussion board in Seminar. Seminar has its own discussion forum, separate from Music. If you’ve yet to post in the Seminar discussion board for Week 9 or Week 10 (for Week 11, it is not required), you may still do so, and I will adjust your weekly grade accordingly. Let me know if you have any questions.
Group Project / Comparison Project
Thank you for your input on the group/comparison project. We really appreciate your feedback! Expect to hear an announcement about changes to the semester shortly. I am very eager to provide you with clarity on this.
The Comparison Project has been cancelled. Please see your syllabus for updated grade redistribution.
Homework
Your assignment for Seminar this week is to complete this quiz: link. It will help you prepare for the Music exam and will give you sense of the range of content you for which you will be responsible. You will be graded on completion (not correctness—that’s what the exam is for!).
How to submit your quiz:
Copy and paste the quiz into your own Word Doc or Google Doc. Upload your completed quiz (doc or Google doc link) to Seminar Bb > Seminar Activities > Exam II Test Prep. Due date: Friday, April 10 by 11:59 PM.
You may collaborate with your peers! (Collaboration will not be graded. Study in a way that’s best for you.) Optional: Use the discussion forum for Week 11 to crowd-source your answers.
Also, here’s a little video that discusses feeling a sense of urgency re: assignments, plus a few other thoughts:
In other news, my toddler, Lila, discovered some glitter and immediately opened (and spilled) it. Feels like that has to be a metaphor for something 😉
Let me know if you need anything, I’ll be around…staying sparkly??
